About the work

Collins works across a multitude of materials, including wood, welded steel, cast aluminium and glass, and approaches sculpture with an interest in materiality, tactility and spatial understanding. His human-centred approach responds to social rituals and behaviours that he experiences.

In 2025 Collins presented Miscue, a solo exhibition at Slugtown, that turned the gallery into an immersive abstraction of a traditional pub. Initially informed by The Limekiln, a Jamaican-run pub in Nottingham, Collins is interested in the point where cultures collide and merge, and the camaraderie and conflict that can occur in civic spaces. Following this, Collins has created Untitled – a limited edition sand-cast aluminium chalk and ubiquitious staple of the traditional pub.
